I just spent 3 1/2 hours on a rental machine with about 400 hours and I'm impressed. This has got to be one of the most comfortable machines I've ever been on. I'm a big guy and it only took a few seconds to get the seat adjusted and I felt I could run it all day and not get tired. It's also got lots of room for getting in and out of the seat which is really nice.

The only thing I'm not sure about is pushing and turning at the same time. It seems like it lacks oomph when turning under load. I've got a couple more hours to do tomorrow and the only thing left is the foundation dig out. I'll be pushing a lot of dirt, so it will be interesting to see what my opinion is after I'm done.

We have one and were looking at buying a 650H with a cab soon. The drive train is great on these little Deeres, sure their not the heaviest but the Hydro tranny and the comfort make up for it IMO

Those new Deeres are fantastic dozers,I worked for a company that had a new 450H with a/c and a 650H LGP and I consider that 650 to be the best dozer I ever ran and that comes from 40+ years of pushing with just about all makes of machines.
I also prefer the John Deere line of rubber tired backhoe over all others. It seems as though the Deere line was designed by operators who also had to run the stuff.I do like the looks of the Cat backhoes but the Deere is a better machine In my opinion and will out perform the Cat.Just sitting in the Cat and looking at all that plastic puts me in a bad mood. After spending 16 hours on it, I've come to the conclusion I like it :) It did take a little while to get used to the speed control rocker switch, but after hitting the horn button enough times I got a handle on it :D. I think this machine would really shine when working around foundations and tight quarters. The only thing I didn't like about this machine, was the lack of sweeps on the front. It only took about an hour to get smacked in the head by a branch and it stung a little. I definitely give the 450H a thumbs up :drinkup

I was one of the demo operators in northern Alberta, Canada to get the first 450H LGP dozers and was extremely impressed with the power and balance, excellent winch power :bash
