Just had a swing gear reduction box fail on our newest Linkbelt 240LX excavator,serial # k4j1-5878.Have a second machine with a 5645 serial number,both are included in current recall campaign.
Will give details,if wanted,when I get them.Machine to go to dealer's yard this afternoon,or Monday am.
This seems to be one of those "don't ask,don't tell" things. We had recently been contacted about some "minor upgrades",but nothing was said about a major replacement,gear box is $8100.00,and had been ordered on our PO,had to talk to 3 different people before the recall came up.
