Neither of those machines looks like a 330 Volvo.
< Digger runs and hides, before coalburner is able to find a chunk of coal to throw at him...> ;)

Your right! Volvo got a new turbo, water hydraulic cooler, and other stuff. I would like to say a lot of &$&^(&^(^_(_*^(^%^%#$%#$#$#^%*% about the Volvo but I still have hope they will fix my 330 with another one. Sent a letter to the Volvo President if he don't get us another loader I hope you all remember my experience with VOLVO.
Sorry to hear that coalburner. That has to suck. I hope some day they get it fixed.

I believe I've said this before--this board presents users with an opportunity to share their bad experiences, but at the same time, it presentx dealers and manufacturers the opportunity to really show how they stand behind their products. As much as coalburner has let us know about his troubles, I'm sure that if Volvo makes it right, he'll be just as forthcoming with that information.
I've read that, oftentimes, the way a business handles a customer's problems with their purchase can actually enhance their good reputation, even more than if the purchase had been trouble free to begin with. I guess we'll see...

:iagree digger, from what I've read from coalburner it seems he has given the dealer more than a fair chance to make this right. And now has taken another step in an attempt to get things staightened out. Maybe not all Volvos are junk but Coalburner got a bad one to say the least. If the manufactor can't/don't make this deal good it'll be like sour grapes ever time you hear the name Volvo. :my2c
Oh I almost forgot nice pics coalburner and Farmboy

Digger,
I have been 100% honest with my ordeal, I am sitting with a 500K dollar loader that won't run. What would you do? I am spending unbudgeted money on the 980 loaders to compensate for that failure of the Volvo. How would you answer to your boss? I am not here to bash Volvo. I wouldn't have bought one in the first pace if I didn't believe they had a reliable product. If Volvo stands behind there loader and gives me something that will run I will be there biggest fan, because right now my ---- is on the line.
Wrenchbender thank you for your support.

Coalburner, before I started my own business I put all my engineering training to use doing mechanical failure analysis, mainly on diesel engines. I had cause to investigate a lot of failures on various engines and machines for financiers, insurance companies and owners. I remember going head to head with Cat a number of times on 3412 engine failures. I found an honest, open and well represented case always won through and Cat came to the table....sometimes it was a battle but they did the right thing in the end. I think Volvo, having dealt with them extensively in marine, will do the right thing ... eventually. Be patient, persistent and factual...Good Luck in the coal pile.

I have no doubt that your giving us the straight story. If I were in your shoes, I'd be at wit's end too. I was just trying to make the point that reputations are hard to build, and easy to lose, and I think it's especially true in these days, because information flows so freely now. That's a fact that any businessman ignores at his own peril. The information that a business has done the right thing will flow just as easily, and they'd be stupid to ignore that fact.
