I have rented a bobcat loader/skidder? and have gotten it stuck, I think I can dig it out but it will not crank. I think the battery needs charging. The battery gauge reads about 9 volts. If I can get it cranked again I think I can get this out of the mud but where is the battery located? Thanks for any help.

It should be visible when you open the rear door. What type is it? 763, A300 etc. I don't know how stuck you are but if it's not halfway to China you can usually get yourself out with the bucket. Put the bucket 90 degrees to the ground and lift the front end up a bit. Tilt the bucket upwards as you try backing up. Do the reverse if you're going forward.

It's a 773 and I looked and finally found the battery location. It is in the rear and to the left at the bottom. I will try to jump it off in the morning and then try to get unstuck. I think I will ask for a free day because they sent it with a bum battery. The rental guy even noted it on the receipt that it had a weak battery.
