Do yall have MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) over there Squizzy? That driver would of had several citations and fines from them for jumping out of the equipment.:nono

I guess he got what was coming to him for having such a poorly maintained truck , eh ?

Bet he was surprised when he hit the brakes and nothing was there .

Good thing no one got hurt too as that would of hurt had he not bailed .

Thanks .

From '385C' Thread...

no matter how many times i tell truck drivers how/where i want to load them, they always screw it up.

So its a global thing then

Wulf: Nearly broke a couple of ribs on that one :D :D

CountryBoy; The accident report was by the Department of Mines. No doubt the guy had a wrecked truck to deal with and he may well have been prosecuted; regardless, he would have been banned from that site by the company and that can put an operator to the wall..especially if the insurance didn't cover him because of lack of maintenance.

I still don't believe he was stupid enough to attempt that...let alone at a quarry face.

We use a stripping company (he he :yup ) at our quarry to remove the overburden which they pile up for reclaimation later. One of the drivers pulled down a high voltage line when he left the bed raised. After failing the drug test he was found liable for the truck (Cat 775E), fined for his neglect and the power company sued him for the power line. On top of that he can no longer work for any company that is ordained by MSHA:ban . The company where he worked was found not to be liable because they went over and beyond drug screening policies and guidlines. This guy jumped from the truck :nono and is also lucky to be alive. The circuit for that line automatically trips and resets 3 times before completely unloading its charge. He jumped during one of those 4 second reset periods.
