you just wanted a wider molboard? the wings i have turn inward about 15 degrees, on a 8' molboard, carries lots of snow.

That was the original plan, ( 15 to 20 degrees ) but after I had all the parts cut and bent I realized that to make it as stong as I wanted it to be that the way I put it together was the best, so yes I ended up with a wider moldboard. Thinking of puting some square plate on the ends to make a box out it. The way I welded it on it is as stong as the plow itself, so I gained about 25% as far as my width goes. What do think of plates on the ends to cary more snow. I think that when the plow is angled it will still wind row with them on. The snow will still run to the angled side. Or push straight and cary snow like I wanted in the first place. Also my plow is a "v" blade so in that position it will cary alot more.

I think it looks real good Jmac.:thumbsup
I looks like it's kinda tough on your extension cord in the second pic though.:bouncegri
Jeff, after what you just welded up I appreciate the positive comment:notworthy

i prefer the angled wings on a pickup plow. it allows me to carry, or windrow snow.
Dayco, I would of liked it that way also, but I think I will live with what I have for know and see how it works. Put the plow on my truck today and it is BIG. Very heavy also, hope the weight doesn't hurt the pump, pistons, etc. I can see that with that much blade out in front I will be able to move alot more snow faster.

Will the pump pick the plow in the scoop position. If it does then it shoud be ok. My pump will just pick up my 9.2 poly with wings in the scoop position. I think the poly weighs about 60 to 70 lb more then the steel plows.

what about when you put it into the V, does the extra width hit the truck?
It doesn't hit the truck, but comes very close to the ground. Have to go slow over bumpy roads. You can carry the blade angled or straight if you need to. On the highway no problem with it in the v. The v position lets the most air into the front of the truck so no over heating problems.

you did an A1 job. bet you cant wait to try it out.:bouncegri
Is the weight difference very noticable when you lift?
You can tell, the pump works harder. The truck dosn't mind to much. When I drop the blade the sound when it hits the ground is a lot louder. Good for scraping the hard pack up. The photo is with the blade in the forward v position
