It looks like it was in the water and they laid it down on that pile to let it be able to roll back upright. (Had to look at the series a few times before I realized that--initially I thought it was two different incidents.)

mumn i have heard of machines being dropped by accident when being lifted into a ship to cle and clean what the clam shell can't reach ie bulk carrier for salt or something that is not a self unloader.. i wonder if that is what happened or it rolled off the pier or something bad..ha

I have recovered a few pieces of equipment that have been rolled. In the pictures the right side looks like it was damaged in the acident but the left side looks undamaged in the upsidedown picture. all the left side dammage was caused bu rolling the machine upright on the dirt pile. this machine should have been uprighted using the already damaged side to roll on or uprighted it under water before lifting it out. There could have been other reasons for doing it the way it was done but a little planning could have lessened the total dammage.

I know I know the insurance pays so who cares.
