difference between case 580k and 580l

whats the difference between the 580k and 580l. what benifits are there to the L. looking at a 580k 4wd xhoe and a 580L xhoe. trying to reason which would be the better overall machine, both are coming in at the same price, the L looks cleaner and has 1000 hrs less at 4400.

Well when they went from the K to L they revamped the whole machine. the fuel tank is on the side not in front the fram and platform is different but as far as power goes i think the k might have more on the leverl of the supper L and the the base L at the 480 power level.overal if i had the chioce i would go into the L even at lower HP levels.

Go with the 580L i owned a 580 K and no matter what you did to take care of it, ( washing it) it rotted away the floor, the battery boxes everything. Also it had electrical problems. I've noticed this with all the "k" series machines. I have a friend who wons a 580L and he beat the living **** outta it and didnt take care of it or anything. At 9000 hours u could still use it to go to work, but he parked it and bought a cat 420d it.
