The bucket curl problem is odd. If I curl it slowly with no load, it moves fine until mid-travel, whrer it stops moving for a bit, altho you can still hear oil hissing thru the ports. Then it suddenly moves again and continues to the end of travel. This translates into play when I am working. They changed a lot of things, including the(compensator?) valve in the bank directly below the joysticks. Not the entire bank, but just the small relief-type valve that sits in the valve itself. The check valve the dealership installed helped in that the play is now at the end of travel, where it is less irritating, but didn't fix the problem. Of course 5 months later I think the dealership has pretty much forgotten about this issue. But I get reminded every time I catch the check valve on a tree & bend the line. Any replies appreciated. Thanks a lot.

ok...........from what you just told me they have changed the port relief.
did they check the cylinder? if you can hear oil flowing and nothing is happening the oil is by passing some where.
let me think about this tomorrow. where are you located?

Yes, they actually replaced the stick cylinder, thinking it might be bent, but they are pretty sure now it is a valve problem of some kind. The mechanic actually tried a few of the machines in their yard and found another one(lb90) with the same problem. And a customer machine does it, but he has never complained. So there are probably 1 or 2 in your yard as well. It's only an issue for me during finish grading, trying to get the last inch out of the footing. But I do a lot of that so it really bugs me. If you want to test one, just raise the bucket off the ground( most obvious with a bigger bucket, or some spoil in the bucket, I have a 42" clean-up)and curl the bucket slowly with steady pressure on the control. It moves steadily until mid-arc, and then pauses before continuing.

hey your back Mortrac! I havent been here for a while either, but I still have the same problem. My hoe is in at a different dealer right now. They are replacing the entire starting system, so that should fix that problem, but the bucket curl has them stumped as well. But they seem happy to throw warranty money at it anyway. If they replace enuf parts they may fix it by accident.
