hi folks,
I just found this forum. Is it pretty new?
I sold my cat 416B and bought a NH lb110. I am the only one around here with one, and even the ford products I see, date back a few years. I like running it, but the quality control doesn't seem to be too good. Lots of little niggles, and a few big ones, like a starting problem the dealership can't figure out, and a hesitation in the bucket curl that has them stumped as well. Its like there is air or vacuum in the cylinder, so when I am fine grading, the bucket will ride over humps instead of cleaning them off. Stick cylinder, valves, etc all been changed, no play in the pins. They finally stuck a big ugly check valve on there. It helps but not a cure. Anyone seen this? Anyone else have a New Holland hoe? How do you like it?

is this a new machine? tell me about your starting problem.

you are having a problem with the bucket curl on the hoe?

have they changed the port relief valves?

thanks for the reply!
My machine is actually a 2001 model, altho I bought it new 6 mths ago. I have put 750 hrs on it, plus the 70 demo hrs it had.It usually starts, but since new, every now and then it would start slow. But twice now in cold snaps I've had to jump it. the first time the dealership came out & gave me a new battery, which didn't help. So they sent the apprentice out with a new alternator. I had load tested the charging system myself, so I was pretty sure the alternator was fine. I got the apprentice to test the system, and he decided it was the starter.( drawing 900 amps even when it would start) So they came back again & threw a starter at it. It started fine after that, but every now and then it would still start slow. And last cold snap it was back to jumping it again.I wonder if there is a bad cable perhaps. I'm out of words, so i"ll start a new thread.

the next time you start it and she wants to crank slowly try just moving the loader control a little and see if you cranking speed comes up.............

post back and let me know what you find.

Actually we've tried that. It doesn't help. Although one of my minor beefs is that a number of the controls have become sticky, and have to be manually returned to centre. Lubeing them didn't help.
