I found an image resizer for those with Windows XP.It seems to work good, and was a free download add-on from Micro-soft.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

It's about 2/3rds way down the page.

After downloading it,you can just right click on the image, and pick what size you want.Even has a custom size option.:thumbsup

Makes it quick and easy for those who have troubles with resizing pictures,(not that anyone has that problem, right Digger!)

That's the same one that I use as well. It works great for resizing multiple pictures at once. It also renames them to preserve your original photos. It works so well that you won't believe it came from Microsoft:bash

Yup,and it only uses 0.02MB of space.I haven't had as much problems with MSN's stuff as with AOL though.I gave up on their AIM program.:dizzy

Thanks for the link Jeff, I've been looking for a good resizing utility. I've been using a online resizer but it's nice to not have to upload my pictures onto the internet.:thumbsup

I use JpegCompress in a free version. I don't think it will batch.

I just about give up , I have windows 98 and HP photoshop. Pics wont stay resized. Is there a reason we can't post pics through photobucket using the img tag? DP

I downloaded the latest version of JPEGCompress today and it has batching and some new features....the big downer is its no longer free and you just get a 30 day free trial version. It seems the latest version is 2.8:

but you might be able to find an older free version somewhere...like Ver 2.4 or something.

The newer versions of Microsoft Office come with a new Office Picture Manager which is pretty good but does not give you the ability to control the actual size it just determines it for you which is a pain in the exhaust pipe. I think its only available with the Office Suite. Photo Story 3 is free but I haven't tried it...here is a link:
