Hello All,

Has anyone got any suggestions on a good source for tires and wheels for a New Holland Skid steer? Are the track conversions worth the money? I saw some on another post that might work pretty good, especially if I'm already going to be in over a grand for wheels and tires.

Is the 8-bolt pattern on a L785 (1992) the same as Bobcats 8-bolt and others or are they all different?

I'm looking to put new rubber on (hoping my wheels will hold air even dented up around the edges) but I don't want to spend a ton of money since its really a home machine for use around the house, or will get sold if I can't get hold of the foot peddle thing (I've run a backhoe and joystick control skid, but this is the first foot control machine). It has been fun the little I've had the chance to run it

I had "Goodyear Extra Traction Industrial" tires on my Bobcat when I bought it.They were a tough tire,and resistant to cuts,but would clog up easy when I worked in mud and clay.They also were very stiff,running 100+ psi pressure.They were very good when working on hard packed,and in places where nails and debri were a problem.I never had one flat with them.

I replaced them with some cheap"Solideal Extra-Wall" skid steer tires.They were inexpensive($125/tire)and had good traction,with the bigger/farther space lugs,but otherwise are a very poor quality tire.They cut easily when working in concrete demo,and seem to puncture easily also.I would recommend staying away from them.

You get what you pay for,so if you're work at home involves running over demo,sharp rocks,nails,etc I'd spend more and go for the premium tires.If you're just doing yardwork around a home you probobly could run the cheap tires and be ok.

I "think" the hole patterns are the same(but not positive),although I ran into a problem with the rim offset when I replaced my rims.If your rims aren't 0 offset,you may need to measure so the tires won't be rubbing the body,or wider than your bucket.

I've no experience with the tracks,but I'm curious too!!

Well I ended up going with these from ebay:

They are some cheapies but since the machine will only be used around the house on dirt or I'll end up selling it I think these will work out ok.

I'll be sure to post and let everyone know how they turn out. I'm going to go to a tire place today and get them mounted, for 12.00 each they'll atraighted up the lip of the rim and mount the tires so I should be rolling on new shoes by the end of the day.
