Just found the site and it looks pretty sharp. I hope I'm able to contribute here.

I was wondering if any of you fellas are familiar with the Bradco 9HD attachment and if it would be a compatable purchase for my Bobcat 753.

I've got a Bradco 611 on my Cat 248 skid steer and have been very pleased with it. I had a JD 310 TLB that this machine replaced and I'd say I haven't lost anything in digging strength, in fact I think I might have a little more power with this hoe. It's a little inconvenient to move while digging, but for my operation, it works out great. One power unit to do a variety of different tasks is what I need vs. dedicated machines.

As far as compatibility, I'd give Bradco a call, they will tell you the ideal model for your machine. One downside I forgot to mention, I have to remove my door to install the backhoe mounting bracket. It takes about an hour to do the conversion from winter with door to summer with nor door in order to use the backhoe.

Personally I would go with a bobcat 607 backhoe. It has a much better attaching system. Plus its was designed for the 753. The white on white color looks good to.

I'm checking ebay so I don't have to sell my leg for the attachment. I need one bad. I have a few jobs comming up quick and rental attachments run about the same as a full unit rental. Plus I want a new toy.:thumbsup

The 607 and 709, according to Bobcat.com, are both made for the 753. I like the 709 cause it seems to have a little more meat on it. But then again, this is my first attachment, I was all rental until the end of last year.

I'm a ground up builder and after I totaled my equipment rental for 2004 I swore I'd begin to buy, it ends up almost cheaper for a year cost.

I found a 709 Bobcat hoe going this morning, but I can't seem to find the attachment on Bobcat.com. Any input?

I'll call Bobcat when they open.

Personally I find the 709 a little heavy for the 753. Its better for the larger frame 700 series (763, 773) But it will run it just find. Just make some kind of 200 pound counter weight.

You can get a 607 for much cheaper than a 709 (less demand, but harder to find)

They are the same hoe, just the 607 has a shorter arm and boom. Thats it. :yup
