We did this job 2 years ago.
It was an 80 acre site and a 20 million dollar contract. there were 60-70 people working on site at all times.4 superintendents 4 labor foreman operators and laborers. we had to bring in 300,000 cubic yards of structural fill to get the site up to grade.

nice job. why did they move the house? I'm surprised you didn't just demo it. you mean they actually wanted to live in the middle of a shopping center?

Judging by the looks of the house, and its age, it may have some sort of historical significance.

The house was moved because of the historical society but part of getting the project going was that the chamber of commerece wanted a new office so they got the house but they have to re hab it. it has been sitting empty since we were done.

I didn't get out to the front much. I spend most of my time on the 345 out in the back. and then i was in charge of getting all of the building pads graded which was a big job in its self.

That was the operator and my brother being wise asses they thought the laser pole looked like a mast on a ship so they put that on. but as the job went on it had meaning if he went in to grade a building slab everyone would get out of the way or he would box them in the corner

Here is an arial view of the site off our web site. It is the entire triangle of land the piece with the trees in the lower left corner is conservation land. and that pond does have some good sized fish in it.

We took a lot of Oaks and Maples down out front. They were 2''-40'' size trees. A few tangled up in the wires pretty good. Alot we grabed with our cranes, the others we cut and pushed over.

wow, pushed over the 40 inch trees. that's awesome. what kind of trees were they, and how old do you think they were?

kinda sad to see the big trees like that get pushed over, but i guess they had to go. oh, well.
