Theres Tons of websites availble if you use any of the major search engines and type what it is you want to do....you may have to go down a few pages to get to the good stuff.
Nothing comes easy but its out there. I got a few leads for summer work from the locals here at Heavyequipmentforums.

So you want your children and grandchildren to pay you?? Where do you think the stimulus money is going to come from? What we need is for our current government to just get of of the way!! Don't they have a long history of breaking what isn't broken, messing up a good plan?

Hello.
I am in the San Antonio Texas area, and it is dead.
Zachery has laid off people who worked for the company 30 solid years!
Du Mor and others are likewise near dead, and everyone says San Antonio is better off than the rest of the nation.
If that is the case, the US really is in a bad way!
Bottom line is that I can drive a truck, class A CDL, so I can squeak along.
But, my heart is in sitting on iron. :usa
Needless to say, some very good operators are sitting, and unemployment is running out fast if it has not already.

Hello.
Hell, a lot of very good operators are very hard of hearing.
I still have somewhat good hearing, but only due to my like of music, you see I wear headphones while operating.
Now, earsets designed to protect hearing as well as play music are available and are an even better solution.
I like the peltor "work tunes" myself.
You can have this as a full headset or as an add-on to a hardhat.
But whatever the case an operator with hearing loss must NEVER operate and use a cellphone!!!
The mental requirements for an operator are such that it is like being drunk.
I have seen several older operators have major accidents while on the phone and operating, one where the operator ran over a cop, on the sidewalk, well outside the construction zone, he will be in the pen for the rest of his life.
