SO i got to work this morning and one of the guys comes up to me and asks if i can help him with a problem he has. i walked between the houses and this is what he had done. he ran it down the hill between the houses at an angle and pushed the bottom track right in when it hit level ground. i told him not to do that but oh well. im suprised he didnt tip it when i got on it to un-f*^k the situation anytime you moved the damn thing it felt like it was gonna go over. there is only 15 feet between the houses so i just turned the tracks sideways, pushed the idler back after taking the fitting out then got him and a couple other guys to man handle the track back on as i ran the machine. mind you this is all in about a foot of mud. the guy that ran it off is the same guy they kicked off the equipment because he kept hitting foundations when backfilling. :bash

Sorry to hear about that especially when they were warned about the situation. In many ways, running equipment is like playing sports. There seems to be three types of people. Some people just "get it" and have the natural ability. Others can practice and get good enough to do quite a bit. Then there are those people that will never get it no matter how much time and effort they put into it and they usually drag down everyone around them as well.

yup i told him to go straight down the hill into the backyard then turn and go between the houses. but that would have meant he would have to take down the siders ladders, waaaaaaaay to much work i guess. he just needs to pay more attention and think about what he is doing more.

Oh well its friday the 13th and that was the worst thing that happened so i guess we made out okay! today was also my last day working for that company, onto bigger and better things.

I know where Anacortes is, been there many a time. I'm headed up to Bellingham tomorrow actually, hope the weather is good. This rain needs to stop. I'm living in Lynnwood now after growing up on the east side all my life and this rain is driving me crazy.

Send some rain to Texas... San Antonio needs some.

But man, that's one operator who's not too good with machines... :(

Hmm... this was before I knew anything about the PNW.

And now I miss it like crazy. :(

(Anacortes brings back fond memories... I left for the San Juans -- alone -- from there.)
